The sixty-fifth (65th) FITS Center of CV-CIRRD was launched last May 28, 2009 in Carlos P. Garcia, an island municipality located in the northern part of Bohol Province. Formerly named Pitogo, this municipality has 23 barangays with varied agricultural crops, livestock and marine products as the main source of income. Buffalo production for dairy products is their identified focus commodity. Though this municipality is third among the depressed barangays of Bohol, their very active and charismatic lady mayor, Hon. Tesalonica A. Boyboy, has transformed their municipality into an active economic player, particularly in leading her constituents to get involved in various livelihood activities. With her strong commitment to establish a strong linkage with the farmers within and among the farmers in the entire Techno Gabay network nationwide, through the FITS center, it is hoped that more economic developments will happen in this rich island in the near future.
